Cut & Come Salad Box.

A unique collection of lettuces grown in a specially enriched compost which releases nutrients as required over the required

growing period. The lettuce varieties are selected to yield an abundant supply of tasty leaves which crop continuously over

a long period. After 10/12 weeks the lettuces will rise to flower. Just remove the plantsand replant into the remaining compost

the ComeGrowWithUs Autumn selection of cut & come leaves.

How to Use.

Just place bowl or container in good light outside. Keep moist not saturated, and start picking leaves as shown

on the label. Keep away the slugs. The least damaging method is simply pick and remove any slug which finds its

way near the container. The lettuces used are a mix of Cos, Oakleaf, Batavia and Eazyleaf varieties.

Heading Lettuce Pack

Contains nine plants of lettuce including Cos, Butterhead , Oakleaf and Batavia.

Prepare an area for growing by removing grass and weeds and digging over to soften the ground. If possible

include some organic matter. Lettuces are hungry feeders and like rich fertile ground. Tease plants out of the cell

making sure not to break up the to  rectangular block of compost around the roots. To remove the plants intact it is

often easier to slit the cell plastic. Plant each block of compost into the soil leaving the leaves over the ground. Space

the plants about 45 cms apart but this distance can be less. Protect from slugs. It is possible to achieve a longer cropping

period by removing and eating the outer leaves of the frillier heads.  Cut the heads when full and enjoy.
